TFT 2026 roadmap: Sets 17, 18, 19 and the events
2026 is packed with content: three big sets (17, 18, 19), a steady two-week patch cadence, and events spread across the year. This article sums up the roadmap so you can follow along and know when it's time to switch things up.
The three sets of 2026
| Set | Theme | Timing |
|---|---|---|
| Set 17 | The set currently live on the main servers | First half of 2026 |
| Set 18 — Enchanted Wilds | Nature theme, Spirit Essence & Pack Emblem mechanics | Hits PBE late July |
| Set 19 — music theme | A "global music tour," possibly with a rhythm mechanic | Winter 2026 |
Patch cadence
TFT keeps a fairly steady update rhythm — roughly one patch every two weeks. A few recent Set 17 milestones:
- 17.5 — June 10, 2026
- 17.6 — June 24, 2026
- 17.7 — July 15, 2026, an almost all-buff patch (details)
Rule of thumb: the first patch of each set tends to bring big changes, while mid-set patches lean toward balance tuning. Read the notes before committing to a comp line.
Events worth noting
- Lunar Revel (January): the early-year event, tied to the Festival of Beasts.
- Pengu's Party (June): the TFT anniversary celebration with quests, costumes and special game modes.
- Convergence Fest (Dec 11–13): the year-end Las Vegas festival combining the TFT Vegas Open and the Riftbound championship — the Vegas Open is played on Set 19.
What should you prepare?
If you climb ranked seriously, follow the patch rhythm so you're not playing a nerfed line. When a new set hits PBE (like Set 18 in late July), that's a great time to learn the traits and mechanics before it goes live. And if you love esports, the year ends with Convergence Fest — your first high-level look at the Set 19 meta.
